A Rocky Start

The Cowgirl memorial rock collection is coming along nicely. It's been a good summer spent visiting many of the places that she adored. Of course, she adored most places. Like most dogs, any stop on a road trip was fabulous...from roadside dumpsights (the best!), to meth-infested trailer parks, to the most pristine waterfronts...it was all good. It was hard not to get caught up in her enthusiasm but mostly it was always hard to get her back into the car. So, I agonize over each and every rock before selecting them. It is a nice meditation and a quiet reflection on a life. Its not over yet. Solid and real like my girl.

What a nice memorial for your sweet girl. I love it. And I love how our pups always saw the best in everything. They make us realize not to sweat the small stuff, and teach us what's really important. Hugs to you!

Oh that's very beautiful. And a wonderful idea.
Keep us posted on the progress.

I have come to learn... again I will say it, LEARN... that it IS all good. We learn things from those wonderful, magical, "meth"ical places we have been. We adore the beauty of the magical, pitty those worse off, and basically adjust to the "meth"iocer in our lives. But it's a choice to settle.

Can we not all say we did, in fact, live in "Mexico" in some part of our life? I'm not talking the vacation of Mexico but the real life of Mexico. If not physically, then spiritually? Emotionally? We have all lived in a land that was less than willing to give us what we needed, in our most basic being. That is why I have hope. Hope floats. Hope LIVES. Hope that, all that I have longed for shall be met, to it's fullest. Of this I am confident, because I heard it... on TV nonetheless... "To the moon Alice", that's what I say... To the moon.

Gina-
Thanks- I do struggle with being real and divulging too much information! Being fakey and nicey nice just doesn't work for me. But I do like a lot of the artsy/crafty stuff so I don't really relate to those blogs always. Nice to know there is someone who gets it!

Love what you said- cheaper than therapy!- ha- so true!

On a serious note- I think that the rock memorial is so cool. I love reading about you and your dog. It seems like a fitting tribute!

Thanks for keepin' it real! I'll try to as well so we don't all gag from too much of the pretty stuff!

Gina - thanks for your comments and for passing my ranting along to anyone who'd listen. It seems like peices of Philly are rolling back their sleeves and trying even harder to clean up the mess. I hope I have the opportunity to take part.I know I'll never be able to redistribute the Major Wealth of Major Sports into organizations in need, but perhaps I can at least make a dent in the rest of the moster that is Philadelphia. Our poor poor animals need help out here. Again, thanks for your cyber ear.
