a few things...

Well, its been a very busy week but here's the important wrap-up. The Pony turned 2years old on the 5th of May. She almost didn't make it to this birthday as we are all well aware, but the 'thing' incident seems to be behind us. I took the stitches out myself and you may not believe this but she is a really good patient -- not just with me but with the vet too. It surprised me how docile she was during all her medical procedures. Yesterday was her first official outing and WOW was she happy to be out and running around. She met up with a couple of her old pals and also met a new one. She had a good romp and some good rough-housing. Got tired, but here's the amazing thing...she actually CAME when called, off leash, no less. I nearly suffered cardiac arrest as you can see by the panic-blurred picture below...

Always an experience like this to appreciate the young pony. . . She loves you a bunch, like we all do.

HHAHAHAAA!! Oh I have to laugh. I had the opposite experience with Scarlett Grey going off-leash. We totally lost her. Lost her in a large gated in area. She bolted immediately. We could NOT find her any where and she did not return. Then I finally find her trotting back in my direction (not necessarily back to me) and I see that there is actually an open gate!!!! An open gate!! I'm in the city here, so outside that gate is a street and a very close highway!!!

PANIC!!! Panic after the fact, but still.

So glad Pony Girl is doing well. Glad to hear she's a good off-leash girl. Glad I confirmed that Scarlett is NOT an off-leash girl in the confines of an ALmost gated in area rather than in the woods or in a different park. I don't think she ever saw the open gate.

All beings, when their shoulders shrug death, I think, re-appreciate all those things that they took for granted. Loved ones, runs in the wild,... the security of what they though they might lose...

Yep.... appreciating all that has been given to me while I heal from the inside out.

Can't wait to have all our girls meet!
