Easing back into life here in the north.
All lovely.
Mexico is as usual, Mexico, with all its quirks, chaos and common sense.
Imperfection reigns supreme and that is so refreshing.
It is such a psychic break.
It is easy to understand why so many Mexicans work, for years, in the US and then return to whatever village they came from to live simply again.
Or maybe just to simply live, again.
I heard a lot of stories, all with the same ending.
Work hard.
(At the worst jobs)
Provide for yourself and your family
(mainly your family).
Return to your home when you can.
The details left out are the ones that wreck your heart.
And still they put up with us.
And still they put up with us.

We should always help those that want to help themselves that want to help others in return! Have you seen the new program "Undercover Millionaire", touches ones heart in wanting to step out in helping others. It's always amazing to me how complicated WE make our lives... to live as simple as possible... isn't that what we yearn for... maybe not for some! But I love Mexico, always have... all I'd like to do is Mundo Submarino in their beautiful blue waters... aaaaahhh the simple things in life!
Many stories and there will be more. Especially with the media creating "fear". . . .

I see you decided to forego the cute toenail polish this trip. With their chaotic sidewalks we know the hazards that await the manicured toe. I always loved the natural toe myself. Just so simply elegant. Love the pix and the stories. Can't wait to one day go there again myself. I can't agree more about the psychic break. Funny you mention about complicating our lives. I've been thinking about a lot lately. I certainly don't live a "simple live" as you mean, but I'm pretty simple compared to most in my corner of the world. I have so many friends with so many problems right now, and yet, I can't help but feel that so many problems are just effects of personal choices and lifestyles. maybe i'm just cranky. wish my toes were in warm sand.
